About The Organization
Open Arms Embracing Change Through Art is a non-profit committed to raising global awareness and critical funds for social and environmental causes. Through the use of Art and compelling stories Open Arms addresses global issues such as a lack of educational opportunities, deforestation, poverty, hunger, disaster, and environmental pollution.
With the purchase of a professional high-quality framed photograph each contributor has an opportunity to bring a piece of the Open Arm Through Art project in to their home or office creating a spiraling opportunity to raise awareness to issues that deserve the attention of a wider audience. Open Arms Pilot Project in Viet Nam captured images of those most impacted by the nation’s poverty and tumultuous past--the children.
Viet Nam Pilot Project
In the spring of 2005 and 2006 Open Arms traveled to Viet Nam and opened a dialogue with street children, runaways, orphaned children, those that are suffering from debilitating diseases, and the organization assisting them. Open Arms will raise awareness of the plight of these children, suggest alternatives to their struggle, and donate proceeds of all sales to well-respected sustainable local Vietnamese organizations that work for their betterment.
